Benzodiazepines are a widely prescribed class of drugs in Canada for the alleviation of anxiety disorders, insomnia, and other conditions. These medications operate by enhancing the effects of a neurotransmitter called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which has a calming effect on the central nervous
